Year 2 were lucky enough to visit the real Royal Navy ship, HMS Trincomalee in Hartlepool Marina. They braved the weather like real pirates and boarded the 200 year old ship. On board they found out all about how ships were run and the living conditions for the crew. They then visited the various museums to learn about Terry Deary’s Horrible Histories of Pirates, Diving Deep amongst shipwrecked treasures and lots more about the life of important people and ships in history.
