Today the children have been learning about harvest. We thought about the food that grows outside and who else might also like to eat it. We then made scarecrows to scare away the birds.
A great week for those 100% attenders!
These children are “aiming to be the best they can be” attending school 100% last week.

This week Orla returned to school after spending a few months in Newcastle on the Shaun the Sheep Trial this summer. Phoebe, from 2 Blue, completed the whole trail, finding all 115 in the flock, and was rewarded with a lovely certificate which she shared in school today.
Attendance last week was very positive with all class above 92%, we had so many children with 100%, keep up the hard work.
We have had lots of fun this week exploring the story of The Gingerbread Man.
We made our own playdough and used it to create our own gingerbread man, using buttons and gems to decorate it. We used magnetic fishing rods to “save” the gingerbread man from the “river”. Using pictures from the story, we retold the story in our own words – we were great at this!
To end the week, we decorated our own gingerbread man biscuit using icing sugar and chocolate treats for the eyes and buttons! We waited very patiently until hometime to eat them (not all of our gingerbread men made it out of nursery gates in one piece!) Yum, yum!
