This week in our LMTW lessons, we have been developing our computing skills. We have been learning about algorithms and creating our own algorithms on Hour of Code and Scratch. We were set challenges to make our sprite characters do lots of different tasks – we had lots of fun doing them!
This week we have been working with Scratch Junior on the Ipads generating algorithms (a series of commands) for a sprite (a controllable character). The children worked in pairs and really enjoyed the sessions. They created some wonderful work while showing some real Pathfinder qualities!
In our Learning Means The World theme we looked at programming and the algorithms we can make. We used Scratchjr to start looking at programming commands and making our sprite move across the screen. We worked with our partner and wrote a set of commands together to complete our activity. It was great fun!
School Council introduce the Hebburn Lakes chant!
We have a new chant, using ideas from all of the children… it is fabulous!
