To celebrate the King’s Coronation we made celebration tiles as a keepsake to mark the occasion. Aren’t our designs beautiful?

We are thrilled with the designs that we have added to our main entrance during the Easter holidays. We have also had the toilets decorated with key messages and inspirational quotes. We are sure that you will love them too.
Take a look at the video below to see the process.

So this years theme was ‘Out Of This World’ and wow what an amazing day we had! Here are just some of the fantastic pictures of the amazing costumes, beautiful art and creative activities we did. We also had an ‘out of this world ‘ workshop with Josh from RTC.
This week in our Learning Means The World Theme, Year 3 have been designing and creating their own Greek Coil Pots. This activity required lots of patience as we found it tricky to mould the clay into coils in order to construct our coil pot.
This morning, Year 4 took to the stage to show off all that they have learned about rocks and fossils during their ‘Rocky the Findasaur’ theme. They learned about different types of rocks and soils and how they make up the layers of the Earth. They also learned about the pioneer, Mary Anning and her incredible discovery of the ichthyosaur fossil. She led the way not just for paleontologists but for the recognition of women as scientists too.
.
Well done Year 4 you did a fantastic job!
In our May The Force Be With You theme, Year 3 have been investigating which objects a magnet will attract and repel. We decided the best way to do this was to have a magnetic hunt around school! We enjoyed visiting the corridors, the sensory area and the library and used our magnets to investigate which objects will be attracted to the magnet and which will repel.
We had lots of fun!
In our theme ‘Go with the Flow’, Year 6 have been learning about the human circulatory system and how blood travels through the body. We used PE equipment to demonstrate the journey of the blood through our veins and arteries before creating our own diagrams.
As part of our Christmas celebrations, Nursery have had a Polar Express Day. We came to school in our pyjamas, watched the movie, explored hot chocolate cloud dough, hunted for bells in the shaving foam and then got our tickets for a ride on our very own Polar Express train. We even had some hot chocolate on the train.
