Today we had some very special visitors in Nursery. The chicks, which hatched last week in our reception class, came to see us. We all held them and talked about what they felt like. We could hear them making chirping noises too. The children were all very sensible. They understood that we had to be gentle and quiet with the chicks, to keep them safe and make sure we didn’t scare them.
As part of our “Full of Beans” theme, 5 Blue looked at the energy people get from the coco bean. Obviously, it was absolutely imperative that we find out how the coco bean is transformed from a bitter, inedible bean into the smooth, delicious chocolate we buy in the shops.
Feel free to ask one of us what we have learned at the chocolate factory.
