In Maths this week we have been looking at halving. We were able to spot half an object or a shape, create our own half shapes and half quantities. We are fantastic at halving numbers using ladybird wings to support us.
We have just started our new theme ‘Light Up The World’ and one of our first lessons was to look at the difference between light and dark in all aspects of our life. We looked at a few pieces of music and decided which instruments played ‘light’ music and which ones were best suited to represent ‘dark music’. As a group, we then composed a light and dark tune.
This half-term, our gardening club have already achieved their Level 1 award, from the Royal Horticultural Society!
Working in the school garden, we are aiming to get some edible produce (fruits and vegetables) planted, ready to harvest and taste test ourselves.
Adding to our level 1 award, we have also officially been given our School Gardening member plaque and are continuing to work our green fingers, to reach levels 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Well done gardeners, keep up the fantastic work!
