Well done to our 100% attendees for last week!
1 Red have hit the ground running this week by coming back to school energised and ready to learn. Our new theme is ‘Never Eat Shredded Wheat’ and within this theme we are looking at map reading and using a compass to find directions. In Maths we have been looking at making larger numbers by thinking how many 10’s are in the number and how many ones. In our English we are looking at questioning words and how we use them and what replies they generate. We have had a brilliant first week back.
Ian, from St John’s Church in Hebburn, came to visit us for a special assembly to discuss how we are all special in different ways; how to think about each others feelings and respect each other at all times. We had a lovely sing and a dance together.
If your child hasn’t had a flu vaccination and you would like them too, the School Immunisation Team have arranged a flu vaccine clinic at Palmers Hospital in Jarrow, Monday – Friday 3:30- 4:45, all this week and next.
This is for children in reception to Year 6 and Secondary Year 7,8 and 9.
To book a clinic appointment please phone 0191 4028179

Assembly was a tight squeeze trying to fit all the children on the stage who have achieved either 98%+ or 100% attendance, as well as those who are most improved. Well done to you all!
