Reverand Ian joined us today to talk to us about helping others and that Jesus taught us to help others before we help ourselves. We discussed how even using our words in a positive way can be helpful.
School council met with Mrs Docherty to discuss their new roles as OPAL Ambassadors. They looked at and agreed the new OPAL charter.
This week we have been learning about life in a hospital during Elizabeth Blackwell times. We found out that it was very dirty, had uncomfortable beds, not enough care givers and unsafe operations. We recreated a hospital ward in our class and the children took turns being the patient and the doctors. It was very noisy and most of our patients died because we had no clean equipment. We even had protesters telling us that women were not allowed to be doctors!
The week before the end of term was another good week for attendance.
We had many children with 100% attendance. Well done, keep up the hard work!
We are thrilled to share with you that our Rainbow Flag evidence has been reviewed from our recent audit and we can proudly say that we have achieved the award again!
Well done to the children, staff and wider school community for supporting us and joining our commitment to positive LGBT+ inclusion and visibility.

We loved making our decorated eggs for our Easter competition!
Reverend Ian from St Johns Church joined us for our Easter Celebration assembly. We looked at the Easter Story and how sometimes the impossible can happen. Easter is a sign of new life and new hope and that we should rejoice in the lessons Jesus taught us.
Happy Easter!
