Take a look at some of the homework created this half term linked to ‘Lightning Speed’. Well done year 4.
Bonjour !
I’d like to share with you a fun , game based language app that will help your child practice their French language skills at home.
‘Glurbs’- has been created by the Language Angels Team, the scheme we use in school for our French teaching from Years 3 to 6.
It provides ‘learning through play’ in an interactive format the children will love to use at home.
Today the children practiced their exchanging skills by competing against a partner to be the first to reach a given total. To reach their total they were required to exchange the following: ten ones for one ten, ten tens for one hundred and ten hundreds for one thousand.
This week in Learning Means The World, the children have been practising, adapting and improving their printing skills. The children used lino pads and carving tools to create multi-layered block printed pictures. Well done Year 4.
See the timetable below for the activities ran by the Family Hubs over the October half-term. There are lots of lovely Halloween related events however most are bookable so don’t leave it too late incase they fill up!
Please welcome our new School Councilors and OPAL Ambassadors for 2025/2026!
We are so excited to get started on our super important jobs, such as supporting within OPAL and making vital decisions within school.
Our very first task is to create the decorations for our Halloween disco, how exciting!
I would also like to say a big thank you to last years school council team for all their hard work and determination. You were all amazing.
It’s been a super creative week in 4 Blue, we’ve been creating not just in Learning Means the World but in English too. We’ve been tackling some Art during Learning Means the World this week and have been looking at Johannes Gutenberg and the invention of the printing press, discussing the mechanics of its use and doing some printing ourselves! Here are some of the pieces of artwork your children have created. 4 Blue have persevered, been innovative and resilient all week – well done 4 Blue!
If your family have had experience within Children’s Services, there is an event to get your views and personal experiences across. This morning we had a visit from Reverend Ian at St John’s church. He talked about how God created people in his image. He talked about how people are special and how you see their images on coins etc. He then talked about how everyone is special, how we have to treat everyone with kindness and look after everyone.
