What is Sounds-Write?
Sounds-Write is a quality first phonics programme. It’s purpose is to provide classroom professionals with a comprehensive system with which to teach reading, spelling and writing. At Hebburn Lakes it is taught in Reception, Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2 for targeted children. In addition, it also serves very successfully as an intervention or catch-up programme.
