Today in English we began our new text, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. The children were asked what they could see in front of them, they replied with some fantastic answers in full sentences using rich associated vocabulary. We then focused on role play to act out scenes from the story; and sequenced events, whilst discussing what each of the characters were like. A great hook for the next few weeks.
